1315. This was found at a garage sale and was sent in by someone looking to find out what it was, one of my friends recognized it as an outdoor propane heater.
1316. A Challenge Hempel Quoin, used in pairs to wedge a page of set type into the chase for printing.
1317. A quoin key, used to tighten or loosen the quoin.
1318. This tool was used to restore the threads on the zinc lids of glass jars.
1319. An automatic bookmark, it's clipped onto the back cover of a book with the pin placed between the pages to mark your place, patent number D163572.

note that one handle of the quoin key has a mallet type end... it is to 'plane' the type before tightening the key- a special wood block is placed over the type and tapped with the key to make sure all the type is in contact with the 'stone' (work table) to assure that they will print evenly.
